Many Magnum engines come with a serpentine crank pulley that is integral to the balancer. For users wishing to keep their V-belts, the best option is to replace the factory dampener with one of these aftermarket pieces, and either a stock LA or aftermarket underdrive crank pulley.
This SFI approved race dampener is packaged with 3 different counterweights for proper use with all Small Block Mopar engines, including of course, 5.9 Magnum engines. SFI balancers are a good idea on all combinations, but required for quarter mile ETs quicker than 11.00.
