Swapping an LS engine into a classic GM muscle car, Mustang, or pickup truck?
You want to use the power steering pump that came with the LS engine, but know its too much for the classic steering box?
Some LS truck engines power steering pump can output more than 700 psi over what your steering box and lines are rated to handle!
This kit is intended to reduce the output pressure of the LS-based power steering pump to the lower pressure of the power steering system in the recipient vehicle. This method is much safer, more precise and less permanent than snipping the flow valve spring. Installation is easy, and is fully covered by the included instructions. Unlike other kits on the market, ours includes application guidelines to give you an idea of what pump pressure you're starting with, and how much reduction you need to do, saving time and hassle. Includes clamping tool, 6 shims and installation instructions for lowering the bypass pressure on all GM self contained and Type II power steering pumps.
